Shrimp Cocktail
Simple, elegant, and timeless, shrimp cocktail is one of those appetizers that never goes out of style. Tender shrimp are gently cooked until perfectly plump, then chilled and served with a bold, tangy cocktail sauce. It’s light, refreshing, and the perfect bite to start an evening of good food and wine.
Ingredients
Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 5 minutes
For the Shrimp

1 lb raw shrimp (large or jumbo, peeled and deveined, tails on)

6 cups water

1 lemon, halved
For the Cocktail Sauce

½ cup ketchup
-
2–3 tbsp prepared horseradish (adjust to taste)
Instructions

In a medium size pot, add water, salt and bring to a boil

Add in Shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until ship is pink and no longer translucent

Immediately put shrimp on top of a bowl of ice and store in refrigerator

In a small bowl mix ketchup and horseradish, make to your liking more or less spice
05
Arrange shrimp on a platter with sauce in the middle and serve
